The Swedish independent organization “Testfakta” (meaning test facts) recently had a comprehensive test of rubber boots for kids. Viking Jolly was awarded “best in test” kid's rubber boot.
Either it's in social media, on television or in the store, it can be exhausting when "everyone" is trying to convince you that their product in particular is the right one for you and your kids. Therefore, many will appreciate the results of tests like these, performed by independent organizations.
Testfaktas cooperative laboratorium in Swerea IVF performed this test and judged the rubber boots after the following criteria’s:
- Durability
The rubber boots were exposed to 12 000 inflections, followed by 24 hours in a water bath. Later, they spent 10 days in a constant temperature of 70 degrees Celsius, before the rubber boots eventually was checked for cracks.
- Stability
The soles and the shafts on the boots was bended in different angles and measured for resistance in order to estimate a score for support and stability.
- Grip
The boots were tested on wet tile floor. Friction and to what degree the sole was in contact with the floor was measured.

The whole boot is made of natural rubber, which is elastic, durable and waterproof. The inside is covered with a quick-drying, synthetic textile, and it is easy to take out the insole for the boot to dry even faster. The outsole does not leave marks and have a pattern that gives good grip on any types of surface – wet or dry.
